FAQ

  • What pastries do you make?

I make postres and pan dulce, which means sweet bread in Spanish. This includes pastries from Nicaragua, Mexico, El Salvador, Cuba, and beyond. My focus is on Latin and Hispanic pastries like conchas, pastelitos, tres leches, flan, and more.

  • Where are your pastries made?

All pastries are made in a Virginia Department of Agriculture inspected and approved home based business basement kitchen.

  • Are your pastries tree nut free?

Yes and no. I have a tree nut allergy, which means that all pan dulce, cakes, flan, pastries, donuts, and confections made by @bakernobakery are tree nut free.

Though, if you count coconut as a tree nut, everything may contain traces of coconut as I use coconut oil in the kitchen.

I sometimes use sesame products and sunflower seeds in my baking but all equipment used is thoroughly cleaned in between item production.

  • How do I preorder and pickup pastries?

I will open up preorders the Sunday before market on my square site for pickup at the following Saturday’s IX Art Park Farmer’s Market. Preorders close Friday afternoonish.

Pickup at the IX Art Park Farmer’s Market at 522 2nd St SE, Charlottesville, VA 22902 from 9a-1p.

  • How do deliveries work?

If I am running a delivery special, place a pre-order online, and click the delivery option. As long as you’re within a 10 mile radius of the bakery, I will deliver on the advertised day an time for a $5 delivery fee and a $1 service charge to cover fees from Square. I’ll have a delivery route pre-planned based on efficiency and location.
